What to Do if an Employee Comes to Work With Symptoms?

Afterward, you should send them to a health facility to be tested, or back home to self-isolate. While the individual waits for their results, it’s best if they don’t return to work to stop the virus from spreading and continue to work from home if possible.
What to Do if an Employee Tests Positive for COVID?
If you’re running COVID tests in your workplaces, it’s expected that someone could test positive for COVID. But as the employer, what do you do?
Well, the first thing is to isolate the person, to avoid further spread of the virus. You should inform the other coworkers, but should do it with confidentiality as required by the American Disabilities Act (ADA)
Then close off any areas used for prolonged periods by the sick person. This will give you time to sanitize the location before people return to work inside of them. Wait 24 hours before cleaning and disinfecting to minimize the potential for other employees being exposed
to respiratory droplets.
